In 1997, I opened Artworks Advertising & Design with the intention of providing exceptional design, illustration, and marketing materials to Southeast Georgia. I showed my portfolio to potential customers and built the business from there. Today, I serve customers throughout the United States and several international branches. I thrive on customer recommendations.

My background is in fine art, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore, Maryland, and work toward a Master of Fine Arts in Teaching degree.

How did I pivot to advertising and design? I began working at an advertising agency on St. Simons Island, Georgia, when everything was done by hand. I hand-lettered comps to show the client what a typeface might look like. I drew shrimp and condiments with Chartpak markers for a food stylist to replicate for the photographer. I designed logos, sales sheets, billboards, packaging, and coupons. Our customers included Rich-SeaPak Corporation, Trust Company Bank, First Federal Bank, The Sea Island Credit Union, Brunswick College, and many small and emerging businesses. I enjoyed collaborating with the customers and designing every day. After 10 years as a graphic artist, I decided it was time to open my own agency utilizing digital design skills.

Working Relationships

Each client is unique, so my approach is flexible. I can start from scratch by taking notes while you tell me what you are looking for, or I can come up with concepts for you to review and critique. I take the time to understand your business and your goals.

For web design and email marketing I primarily use:

  • Mailchimp

  • Wix

  • Weebly

  • Shopify

If your business uses Microsoft products, your designs can be saved in many digital file formats compatible with your software. 

Pricing

Creative work is billed at $90 per hour.

A detailed estimate can be provided to keep projects on budget and on schedule. Milestone billing or a purchase order may be required for projects that require extensive time or materials.

Fine Art

Original art is available for illustrations, commissions, or fine art pieces.
